1. Save some money
I hope most you have found your summer jobs and are getting into the swing of things, I know I sure have! Now, with all this work (part-time or full-time), I hope you all understand the concept of saving money! With another (or your first) year of college right around the corner, you are going to need some money to get you through and I hope you manage to save enough (or some haha) to get you through!
2. Treat yourself!
Summer is a great time to try some new things and enjoy yourself! Treating yourself is one of the best ways to enjoy yourself! Treating yourself could be with going out for your favorite ice cream or food or even going out and getting your nails or hair done. Never forget to take care of yourself, even if you are super busy, which we all tend to get even in the summer time!

3. Start a blog
Blogging is one the best ways to show the world what you are doing or even to just document your life! I started this blog about a year ago and I have never been so in love with a hobby of mine! And keep in mind, not all blogs are for money and you don’t have to spend money to blog.
4. Get a jump start looking for an internship or job
I found my internship with CollegeFashionista this summer and it was pretty last minute! I hope you all start your search before I started mine! I’m hoping to start this summer in hopes to find one for next summer (maybe in New York City). But, you can start too early, even if it is just reaching to people and making that contact for the future. Get your name out there!
5. Start a side job/ hobby
Side jobs are good for you (even if it is just a hobby). Maybe they don’t rake in a lot of money (that’s why you have a main job), but if you love it, then that’s what matters. A lot of careers all started from hobbies and side jobs (example: #GirlBoss). One of my favorite hobbies, is cooking! Maybe you could spend the summer teaching yourself how to cook.
6. Morning yoga or stretching routine!
I am just starting to get into this whole Yoga thing! The Nantucket Yoga Room has been great to me! The schedule isn’t the best for my odd work schedule, but I am trying to fit in a couple because I absolutely love them! Once I get back to school, I want to continue to take the yoga classes, especially if they are in the morning like the Nantucket one’s are (that I take).
7. Find a consistent workout routine
Whether is be doing yoga every morning, running or biking every day or whatever toots your horn, getting into a good workout routine will benefit you in the long run, guaranteed.
8. Find a good Netflix series (documentaries are great, too)
Netflix is not just for long nights of procrastination at college, they are for summer as well! Currently, I finished up the last of New Girl and am working on Pretty Little Liars and Grey’s Anatomy (you know you love them haha). But, documentaries are just as cool, I promise! My favorite I found on Netflix so far, is Living on One Dollar and I highly suggest it!
9. Drink lots of water!
Stay hydrated! It’s summer which means hot sun, possibly some exertion of energy and sweat! So, with that being said, drink lots and lots of water because at the end of the day, it’s not going to hurt you. The more you drink, the better you’ll feel and all that good stuff.
10. Practice your photography skills
I know I want to practice my fashion photography and my action shots. I will be working on my fashion photography with my internship with CollegeFashionista (which I could not be more excited for). For my action shot photography, I want to practice shooting surfers! I always thought the photos came out so cool, so I wanted to try! I highly suggest getting out there and just playing around and seeing what you like!
