Forget the chips and sandwiches and try something new! Going to the beach usually means you are going for a few hours, not just for a little bit. For some, it’s an all day affair! Packing snacks is always hard because chips aren’t the healthiest choice, fruit can get boring and sandwiches aren’t always everything you hope and dream them to be. Over my time that I’ve been going to the beach, so my whole life, I’ve found some different and fun beach snacks that can please all parties!

Avocado Toast

I love bringing avocado toast to the beach, its summer-y, fresh and healthy. One trick for this is to pack the avocado pre-seasoned (I usually do lime, s + p, and red pepper flakes) and then sliced bread in a different baggie. Brunching in New Haven

Brunch (n): the socially acceptable excuse for day drinking.

So, I have been on the scour to find you the best places to brunch in New Haven. I have found two that I will now be frequently visiting and I’m not even mad about It.

First on the list is the famous Box 63. They are known for their weekend bottomless mimosas and bloody marys. It’s a little different from other places and that once you have placed your order for them, they just walk around with pitchers to refill your glass as soon as It looks low (in my family, we call this low tide). Make a pasta sauce // I hav recently discovered a super yummy pasta sauce that you can make with avocados. I take one mini avocado (Trader Joes), add pesto and a tablespoon of vegan spread (Trader Joes). I toss this over tortellinis or zoodles.
